Mila Sneddon couldn’t see her dad Scott while getting treatment for leukemia because he was working in the middle of the Covid-19 lockdown.
The little girl was going through cancer treatment and now, she finally reunited with her loving dad after they were away from each other for almost 2 months because of the pandemic.
The sweet Mila cried from joy when she finally hugged her daddy for the first time in seven weeks.
Father & Daughter Were Separated on Purpose
The father and daughter were separated with a purpose-the girl was under a chemo treatment for a rare leukemia and the dad worked every day and was a health threat to her.
So, to ensure she’s safe to the maximum, the father shortly moved out of his family home in Scotland and only talked with his family through a window or a door.
However, after Scott found out his work won’t proceed any longer and after quarantine, he reunited with the loving girl. This moment was caught on camera and it’s so heartwarming.
Scott can be heard saying ‘oh, I love you’ to his daughter in tears while the young girl leaps into her daddy’s arms for the embrace she waited for so long.
Mila Was Taken Care of By Her Mother
While Scott was away, Lynda, her mother, took care for her. Often times, she had to console the young girl in tears, in one part because Mila was upset about hair loss and in other part because she was away from Scott.
This wasn’t easy for Lynda, who was also dealing with losing her grandma who died during the lockdown after a positive test for the COVID-19.
However, Mila seemed to shortly forget about her worries when her father visited. He stood in their garden and spoke with them through the door and brought a smile on the girl’s face.
The Emotional Reuniting that Everyone Needed
Several weeks into their separation, Scott found out he was being furloughed. Although this wasn’t ideal news, it had a silver lining-he could reunite with his daughter.
He went into isolation and waited until professionals said it was safe for him to go home.
On the emotional day, the father surprised Mila by going inside the home and asking for a hug.
The young girl was shocked and broke into a smile-they laughed and cried together, but this time, it was tears of joy.
