This family from Maryland wanted to publicly thank a stranger who went above and beyond and made their holidays even jollier.
Laura Degnon shared the story of a good Samaritan who touched her and her family deeply. She wrote that he’s a great human because he did an amazing thing for her son.
Stranger Drives to Laura’s Home to Deliver the Wallet He Found
On a Friday morning, Laura’s son Jake realized that his wallet is nowhere to be found and that he probably lost it the previous night.
Since it snowed in Rockville overnight, it made it even harder for the family to look for it elsewhere than his car or at the last store where Jake purchased a snack.
The family took out the shovels and checked out the whole yard, but the wallet was nowhere to be found.
The motivation was big since the wallet had a bit of extra Christmas money, some college money, and Jake’s ID, driving license, and debit and credit card.
Laura was up on a Saturday, saying her goodbyes to Jake as he was going back to University in South Carolina. She was cleaning up the house when the doorbell rang around 8 am.
Juan Came to Bring Back Jack’s Wallet
She was surprised by a wonderful man named Juan who was asking her if Jake lives here. Laura began to cry and asked Juan if he happened to find her son’s wallet.
Juan was up early and working on a Saturday morning when he spotted the wallet in the parking lot at the store where Jake purchased a snack. He drove to their home to return the belongings after checking to see the address inside.
Nothing was missing and the whole family was amazed.
They said that Juan is an awesome human who made everyone’s day, more than he’ll be able to know. Laura also had a message for the employer of Juan, Brightview Landscaping from Clarksburg, Maryland, that they have “one hell of an employee”.
The whole family is beyond grateful to Juan from the bottom of their hearts!
